Ye Olde Burnham House

Ye Olde Burnham House is a pamphlet produced about 1920.  The Burnham House was a restaurant in Ipswich on Linebrook Road.  Today it is known as the 1640 Hart House.  It's history is documented.  The pamphlet is a glimpse of the house at a point in time. At another point in time, 1755, it was owned by Phillip Lord.  He owned it until his death in 1816.  He willed it to his daughter Sarah Lord Kimball and she in turn to her son Isaac Kimball. The pages that follow show a little about an old building and has some pictures that can show how they lived in a different time.  If your in Ipswich and would like a good meal, this is a good place to start.

The pages are photos of the original.   There is a photograph of a part of the house or Ipswich after nearly every other page.  If you get bored, I have left a link on the bottom of each page back to this page.
