Henry S. Bowen

 (1874 -1961)

He was appointed a mail carrier in 1906 at an annual salary of $706.00 and was assigned to RR #1. Later he was a telephone operator and always a clammer.

He purchased his house on Summer Street in 1920 and lived there with his wife Annis and their seven children.

He had a print shop behind, where he compiled, wrote and printed the original of this small tract about 1954 at the age of 80.

He was best known as a story teller, some true, some fables, and many good lies, of which he was not ashamed. His motto was "Never let the truth get in the way of a good story."
